      “Hi Karen, I met Julie Tan at the cheesecake factory in Bellevue yesterday, she was with her sister and I was with my mum. After hearing their conversation in Mandarin, I knew for sure that they were both Singaporeans and guess what? I was right! And I was so happy that finally I met two Singaporeans in what has been a rather lonely state for me. She told me all about you and this meet up group and said that I should connect. I am glad to see this site and please do connect with me.”

      “I am a Singaporean and have been in Seattle for the last 1.5 years, awefully lonely and pretty hard to make friends. I miss the culture and food in Singapore, most of all Singaporean's sense of hospitality so here I am wanting to connect.”
